Infrared Camera PYROVIEW 640L compact

January 2009

High Resolution IR Camera PYROVIEW 640L compact

The company DIAS Infrared GmbH, located in Dresden, Germany, released a new thermal imaging camera within a compact housing, which is named PYROVIEW 640L compact compact. The infrared camera contains a state-of-the-art infrared detector with 640 x 480 pixels and has a Gigabit Ethernet interface. With this camera you can measure temperatures from -20 °C to 500 °C within a spectral range from 8 µm to 14 µm.

The new fixed infrared camera PYROVIEW 640L compact is all-purpose. Examples of use are process control and monitoring, quality control, fire detection, and measurements in research and development. Besides the compact housing the camera is available with industrial housing including air purge and water cooling system, weatherproof housing with pan-tilt-unit or ATEX housing.

Pyrometer PYROSPOT Serie 10

December 2008

PYROSPOT Series 10 – Fast Pyrometers for Industry and Research

The Dresden company DIAS Infrared GmbH offers with the new pyrometers of PYROSPOT series 10 fast, digital infrared thermometers for non-contact temperature measurement for industrial and research applications. For example the typical application of these pyrometers is the usage in the steel and metal industry, in furnace constructions and in hardening or welding processes of metals.

This series of pyrometers is packed with sophisticated features. The temperature ranges are exceptionally long. The accuracy is very high with a measurement uncertainty of only 0.5 %. With the response time of only 2 ms (t95) the pyrometers are suitable for the measurement of very fast processes. A focussable optics with spotsizes from only 1.2 mm enables the detection of very small objects. A built-in display shows the actual temperature reading and the adjusted emissivity value. The adjustment of the emissivity is done by push button at the housing. The solid design of the compact housing and the protection window of the lens ensures a safe operation even under very harsh enviroment.

The customer can select models with different equipment components: LED or laser targeting light or a through-lens-view finder enables the correct alignment on the measuring object. Due to the linear standard output of 0 or 4 to 20 mA the pyrometers can be easily integrated in exisiting measuring and controlling systems. The built-in serial interface RS485 is used for the parametrizing of the pyrometer, for data analysis or the integration in fieldbus systems.

The comfortable parametrizing and analyzing software PROSOFT Spot is part of the standard delivery.

DIAS Systems GmbH with extended business field

The company DIAS Systems GmbH, a subsidiary company of DIAS Infrared GmbH in Dresden, has expanded their business operation to infrared thermometers (pyrometers) with immediate effect.

Necessary distribution channels for these products will be built-up and expanded together with development and production. Beneath Prof. Dr. Guenter Hofmann, physicist Rolf Breternitz was appointed as managing director from May 1st 2008.

Mr. Breternitz was managing director of IMPAC Infrared GmbH for many years and may be recognized as founding father of worldwide successful IMPAC group. His large experience in infrared temperature measurement forms a very good basis for future progress of the DIAS companies.
