DIAS Infrared has extended its long time proven pyrometer PYROSPOT series 10. By applying the proven switching light principle now are new digital pyrometers available that measure at short-wavea to reduce emissivity measuring errors while enabling fast measurements even at low measurement temperatures. Therefore they are especially suitable for applications in the metal and ceramics industries.

The devices PYROSPOT DP 10N measure temperatures of 50 ° C to 1200 ° C at wavelengths from 2.0 microns to 2.8 microns. The pyrometer DPE 10M starts measuring temperatures of 20 ° C at a spectral range from 3 microns to 5 microns. Specially designed for measuring through flames and combustion gases, there is the PYROSPOT DPE 10MF (wavelengths around 3.9 microns). By using modern semiconductor infrared sensors, the devices can also be operated at higher ambient temperatures up to 70 ° C. The response time t95 is only 1.5 ms and can be increased up to 100 s. Various Vario optics permit very small spot sizes with a diameter of 0.7 mm.

Using an LED or laser pilot light pyrometers are precisely aligned to the measuring object. Optionally an optical view finder or integrated color video module can be selected instead of the pilot light. All parameters of the pyrometer like emissivity, response time, sub range, maximum / minimum value memory, video and interface settings can be adjusted to the application directly on the device via four keys and a display or with the parameterization and evaluation PYROSOFT Spot. A temperature linear 0/4 to 20 mA output, a galvanically isolated RS-485 interface (Modbus RTU protocol data) and also an electrically isolated switching output allow easy implementation in existing measuring and control systems.
