In 2016, DIAS Infrared launched three new, innovative radiation thermometers called PYROSPOT Series 80 portable. They are designed for temperature measurements between 200 °C and 2500 °C and operate at short wavelengths in order to minimize measurement errors by means of a low, only inaccurately known or changing emissivity.

Portable pyrometers with color video module

The main feature of the robust pyrometers is a color video module, which enables the very comfortable alignment of the radiation thermometers together with the 2,5” TFT display, which is included in the device. Four key buttons below the TFT screen can be used to adjust all important pyrometer parameters. An integrated measured value memory allows the storage of up to 999 data sets. The data can be transferred to an external PC for evaluation via a USB interface.

<h2Interchangeable optics with very small spot sizes

All pyrometers have a standard variooptics with a distance ratio of up to 200:1 and measuring distances between 0.65 m and 12 m. From now an optional interchangeable optics for close range (225 mm to 300 mm) and with a particularly small spot sizes up to 0.8 mm is available. This small measuring field diameter allows, for example, wire drawing applications.

Laser pilot light also helps with alignment

For special applications, such as the non-contact temperature measurement of glass molds, an additional integrated laser pilot light for measurement field marking is optionally available in addition to the standard TFT screen. In the case of difficult measuring conditions, a reliable alignment of the pyrometer is thus possible.
