The long-time proven and manifold applicable compact pyrometers of PYROSPOT Series 44 from DIAS Infrared have been extended by a new interesting type. The new pyrometer called PYROSPOT DGE 44N is made for non-contact measurement from 75 °C.

The temperature measurement is performed at short wavelengths to minimize the influence of emissity caused failures. Therefore the device can be used for applications in metal and steel industries, e.g. preheating, coating and hardening.

Thanks to the compact IP65 steel housing and it’s multiple accessories PYROSPOT DGE 44N can be used in rough environments. The integrated laser aiming light enables accurate alignment of the device. On the basis of various optics with distance ratios of 200:1, spot sizes from 1,5 mm are realized. A very small response time of only 5 ms enables accurate temperature measurement of very fast processes.

In addition to the standard analog 0/4 to 20 mA interface, the device also has the DIAS typical bus-compatible RS-485 interface with proven Modbus RTU protocoll. Connected to the PC software PYROSPOT this digital interface enables data recording in real time.
