What the experts say on the 71. Heat Treatment Congress in Cologne (Germany)

During the Heat Treatment Congress in Cologne from 28th to 30th October DIAS had some interesting expert talks regarding the non-contact temperature measurement for induction hardening processes. The parameter temperature as a crucial quality criterion must be introduced precisely and efficiently into the process control to guarantee the required product properties. Robust and steady pyrometers are used for the induction hardening that is primarily used for complicated formed workpieces, parts or areas that are partially hardened. The pyrometers detect by extra small measurement fields the workpieces also between the windings of an inductor coil. The presented models and reference solutions by DIAS have awoken interest and convinced specifically regarding the short response times in fast heating up process.
