In modern industrial plants, the processes and machines are monitored with many cameras in the visual and near infrared range. Starting with the delivery (gate cameras) to the safety-relevant process control, numerous cameras are used today. The trend towards digital IP cameras has become more and more popular in recent years. Today’s video systems use digital video recorders with ring memory to automatically record the current situation and delete it again after a defined period of time.

Infrared images from the thermal imaging cameras PYROVIEW from DIAS Infrared can now also be connected to this technology, which is already available in many companies. A configurable Real-Time Stream Encoder (RTSP) in H.264 format was integrated into the DIAS software packages PYROSOFT Professional/Professional I/O and PYROSOFT Automation/Automation SC, which also uses hardware encoders available in the PC and thus the CPU is only slightly stressed.

All additional information shown in the original infrared image, such as ROIs (Region of Interest) or displayed temperatures, are also streamed. This means that several observation stations can be easily connected. Of course, the images can also be streamed to subsequent image processing in order to implement your own special evaluations.

More information and technical details about the PYROSOFT software for infrared cameras will find here.
